Latest Update feon Digg Blog, They have updating, fixing the Website. Users can expect new changes and speed this Week.
From Digg Blog by Kevin Rose : Changes in Digg V4
Fixed:
- Algorithm: We’ve updated the algorithm to prevent any single source or user from dominating the homepage. These are the same rules we had working before, just now working on the new v4 platform.
- Comments usability: We’ve added the thumbs icons back and have made a couple other changes. More usability improvements coming soon.
- Timestamps: Are now live on ‘My News’ stories; we’re still working on homepage stories.
- Digg usernames: The CaSe IsSuEs are fixed now.
Changes coming soon:
- Setting Top News as default: We’ll be adding this feature to the settings page; once it’s live, you’ll find it here: http://digg.com/settings/preferences
- Upcoming stories: Upcoming stories will be back! We’re adding it as a third tab to the main navigation.
- Digg User Recommendations: We will be improving our recommendations of suggested users to follow. This will include a list of all digg users under their interests and ranking them by digging behavior. The listing won’t just be sorted by follower count, but rather their influence on the global digg community.
- User Friends and History RSS feeds are turned off: This is a bug, we hope to have this fixed soon.
- Third-party tools not working: These are starting to stabilize, but hope to have them fixed very soon.
General:
- Stability: We’re working hard to stabilize the entire site.
That’s it for now, we hope to have these changes pushed live very soon.
Thanks,
Kevin
