Google Likely to Launch Facebook Killer Soon.After all, Google has offered the Orkut social network for years, and it’s been a relative failure for everyone except the Brazilians.

Google Buzz, more of a Twitter than a Facebook, hasn’t taken over by the world.

Google this week confirmed its acquisition of online entertainment company Slide. The purchase rehashed speculation that the search giant is interested in working its way into social media, possibly with a game-centered service called “Google Me.”
