Enable Built-in Spell Checker in Firefox 4 to Work in Text Boxes

By default built-in Firefox 4 spell checker will not check the spelling in Text Boxes and Web Forms and rich Text Editors. We don’t have add or install new add-ons for spell Checking. Firefox 4 comes with this feature by default. Its just not enabled. Here is a Firefox tweak that  will force Mozilla Firefox In-line Spell Checker to Work in Textboxes and Web Forms

Enable the built-in Firefox spell checker, if it is not initially working in a text box:

1. “Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General / Browsing -> Check my spelling as I type” should be checked (default setting).
2. Now type layout.spell in Filter box.
3. Set the layout.spellcheckDefault preference to 2 (default = 1)
4. Firefox will check every textbox, Text editors and Web forms etc in webpages.
