Easy way to Enable or Disable Hibernate in Windows 7/Vista/XP

Here is the Easy way to delete hiberfil.sys. We can easily enable or Disable Hibernate option in Windows 7/Vista/XP using command prompt.

Disabling hibernation helps to delete hiberfil.sys (250MB-2GB) .

Enable Hibernate using Command prompt in Windows 7/Vista/XP

• Go to command prompt Window key+R then type cmd and press Enter key
• Type powercfg -h on andpress enter key

• This will create hiberfil.sys (250MB-2GB) in C:/ of your PC

Disable  Hibernate using Command prompt in Windows 7/Vista/XP

• Go to command prompt Window key+R then type cmd and press Enter key
• Type powercfg -h off andpress enter key

• This will delete hiberfil.sys (250MB-2GB) from your PC
