Microsoft released their first beta of Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7/Vista and XP. Its available for download now.
Major Changes in Internet Explorer 9 :
# Instead of the top-heavy, busy user interface that Microsoft flaunted in IE 7 and IE 8, the new browser is clean, simple, and beautiful.Very Simple Design with tabs, and just three, simple, Windows 7 notification bar-like buttons for Home, Favorites, and Tools. That’s it. There’s no menu bar, no Favorites Bar, no Command Bar, and no Status Bar.
# Number of interesting new UI features like the all-new taskbar with pinned application shortcuts, jump lists, thumbnail previews, and so on.
- Pinned web sites
- Aero snap
- Icon overlays
- Thumbnail preview controls
- Download Manager with SmartScreen Filter
- Add-on Performance Advisor
- Hang recovery

# There are also lingering concerns about site compatibility, real world performance (especially with many add-ons loaded), and some weird older UIs that really should have been updated by now. Internet Options look like a Windows 95 UI still.
